Silver
Skylanders are very popular with people wanting to complete their Skylanders
collections. There are two main reasons for this. Firstly, these metallic toys
look awesome! Activision really did a good job making the silver figures look
really cool. Secondly, not many of these figures were actually produced, and so
they are extremely rare.

Skylanders Lightcore Hex the Mysterious Undead Figure
Skylanders
Lightcore Hex is one of the few Skylanders Giants figures yet to be released.
In the Giants game there are sixteen figures that have this amazing Lightcore
feature. There are eight regular Skylanders, of which Lightcore Hex is one, and
all eight of the actual Giant figure too. The Lightcore feature is awesome
because it causes the figure to glow when placed on or near the Portal of
Power. This technology is powered by the portal itself, and requires no
batteries, which makes it better still!
The Very Rare Gold Skylanders
Gold
Skylanders are some of the rarest Skylanders figures out there. Such is the
demand for these elusive figures, that prices on Amazon and eBay have
skyrocketed. Gold Skylanders were first introduced in the original Skylanders
game called Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. There are three gold figure from the
first game, and these are gold Chop Chop, Flameslinger and Drill Sergeant.
These gold figure appeared on store shelves randomly alongside their regular
versions. Due to their popularity, any gold figures that were found on shelve
were snapped up immediately, and many of these figure then started showing up
online, at highly inflated prices. Only one gold Skylander has been produced so
far for the Giants game, and this is another Gold Flameslinger. This series 2
Flameslinger is much more common, as it is sold as an Amazon exclusive, and so
is much more reasonably priced.
