Silver Skylanders And Where To Find Them

Silver Skylanders are very popular with people wanting to complete their Skylanders collections. There are two main reasons for this. Firstly, these metallic toys look awesome! Activision really did a good job making the silver figures look really cool. Secondly, not many of these figures were actually produced, and so they are extremely rare.

All of the Silver Skylanders figures are from the original Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure game. As yet none have been released for Skylanders Giants. There are three silver figure in all: Silver Eruptor, Silver Boomer and Silver Dino Rang. The Silver figure appeared randomly on store shelves next to their regular versions. Stores themselves had no idea which silver figures they would receive. Most of these Silver toys were snapped up immediately, and shortly after, many started appearing on sites such as eBay and Amazon at ridiculously high prices. Today you can still get these three elusive figures, if you are prepared to pay a lot of money for them!

Silver Dino Rang
Silver Dino Rang is basically the same as a regular Dino Rang figure, but painted silver. I have got to say Silver Dino Rang does look pretty awesome. The entire figure, even the base is covered in silver paint. The only color on the toy is the green plastic at the bottom of the base. Dino Rang is an Earth element Skylander that looks like a warrior dinosaur, and does look pretty cool in silver. However, please remember that even though the silver figures look pretty awesome, and very different to their regular versions, they all look exactly the same as their regular figures in the video game itself.

Silver Eruptor
Eruptor is one of my favorite Skylanders, so I was really pleased to see a silver version. Eruptor is a fire element Skylander who is basically made of lava. The silver version of the figure really does look very cool, and he does look like he could be made of molten silver!

Silver Boomer
Skylanders Boomer is a comical looking figure, who holds sticks of dynamite in his hands. I was quite surprised that Activision decided to make a silver version of him, but it worked out really well. Both Boomer, and Dino Rang are not actually in the Skylanders Giants game, and so regular versions of these figures are less common too, but of course don't command the high prices of the silver ones.

We still don’t know if there will be any more Silver Skylanders. As I mentioned above there are none yet in the Skylanders Giants game. Activison, announced a couple of weeks ago that there will be a third Skylanders game, called Skylanders Swap Force. Hopefully we might see some more awesome silver figures in the future.
